Requesting GSA Representation

Representatives are nominated to serve each academic year, unless the charge calls for an extended service from the representative. As such, requests must be sent each year to ensure graduate representation.

To request representation for committees (campus wide, special interest, internal), councils, and boards, please send a letter of request to gsashare@ucsc.edu with the following information:

  • Title of the requesting body
  • Statement of request for GSA representative(s)
  • Length of commitment (if other than one academic year)
  • Day, dates, time, and location the body will meet (where known)
  • Date representation is required by (no sooner than two weeks from request date)
  • Organizer contact information (if other than sender)
  • Committee Charge:
    • Description of the committee
    • Statement of purpose
    • Duties of the committee
  • Expectations of the representative (if other than those expressed in the charge)
  • Stipend (if provided)
